Artist Statement
Throughout my time in 3D art this semester I wanted to explore the ideas of angles, rotation, and having multiple uses. I really enjoy working with skewed geometric shapes and seeing what interaction I can create with different angles + edges. I feel that as a graphic designer this was an important opportunity to show the diversity in my creation by using my hands. I have realized that in my 3-dimensional designs I value the ability for a product to have multiple uses. I think it makes interaction with the viewer that much more pleasurable when they get to determine the orientation that satisfies them. My work from this course represents the culmination of my time at IU. As I approach graduation I am reflecting on the ways I can morph my own skills to do anything I set my mind to.
